Modern Petrofils (MPF) Polyester Filament Yarn plant
was set up in 1994 in technical collaboration with Zimmer
AG of Germany. It is a fully integrated plant having Polymerization
to Texturized yam manufacturing and dyed yarn manufacturing
facilities all under one roof. It is the largest unit
of the Modern group.

It has an installed capacity
of 77000 Tons Per Annum for manufacturing of POY / chips
and texturized yam. The plant is presently working at 130%
capacity utilization with foreign exchange earning of about
Rs. 50 crores, which makes it as the third largest manufacturer
of polyester in India. The company is accredited with ISO
9002 certificate by M/s. RWTUVof Germany.
Modern Petrofils is located
at Village: Bamangam, Taluka: Karjan, Dist.: Baroda of Gujarat.
It is about 23 Kms. from Baroda. The plant is on the Ahmedabad
- Bombay National Highway No. 8 thereby connecting it to
all parts of the nation, ensuring speedy transport of both
raw materials as well as finished goods. It is in the close
proximity of the source of major raw-materials viz, PTA
and MEG and to major markets viz. Surat [110 Kms.], Ahmedabad
[135 Kms.], Ankleshwar [60 Kms.], Tarapur [300 Kms.], Silvassa
[240 Kms], Bhiwandi - Mumbai [415 Kms.] etc. It is about
550 Kms. from Kandla ful1y developed port on the coast of
Gujarat and around 400kms away from Mumbai Port.
